Charles Scott, his brother, was born in 1807. William Charles Scott was born in 1806, he was the eldest son of William and Dorothy Martin Scott who farmed at Bradfield Combust near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. These pictures were taken using my phone so please excuse the poor quality, the gun is much better looking than these pictures appear. There are also some symbols I can't quite make any sense of, a "12M" and "14M", and the phrase "NOT FOR BALL".Ĭan anyone help me with a manufacture date, model, history and value of this shotgun?

There is a serial number stamped in two places that reads "26057". It has some impressive engraving including a hunting dog, a fox and a duck. It has a hammer behind each barrel and two triggers, one for each barrel. It looks like a pretty large shotgun with two barrels. Let me preface this by saying that I know NOTHING about firearms. When this shotgun emerged from the safe we knew it had to be the one. As the firearms came out of the safe he told me about a gun which his father told him belonged to his grandfather and he was not allowed to sell.

Last night a friend and I were going through the gun collection his father passed down to him. Thanks for taking the time to look at my post.
